To ensure
quality, Strohwig engineers certify every design
that is presented to them. Working in cell groups of
four people increases communication and reduces
potential problems before they even have a chance to
start. After certification, the modeler makes any
necessary modifications and then sets parting lines
on the mold where it will open and close. Next, the
designer adds water lines and ejector pins. Using 3D
CAD software gives engineers the ability to look at
different dimensions on a computer model. The
detailer and programmer create the information
necessary for the CAD data to be directly downloaded
to CNC machining centers and EDM's on the production
floor.
Several highly
skilled and thoroughly trained people in the
Strohwig Engineering Department have worked on the
shop floor and earned their Journeyman's card. Based
on their shop floor experience, they know what it
takes to build a top quality tool. Strohwig
customers benefit from this combination of
experience.
At Strohwig we
continuously update our Engineering Department with
the hardware and software necessary
to maintain our competitive edge. Our investment in
diverse technologies and equipment assures our
customers of receiving the best tool possible for
the money.
